New rumors about Apple’s MX gadgets

“Apple Oracle” Ming-Chi Kuo has often made accurate predictions about upcoming Apple products, delays and possible prices in the past.
Now the analyst has spoken out again: Allegedly, the company is working on two products. First, the so-called “Head Mounted Display”, a standalone mixed reality solution, is to be released. The device is supposed to combine virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). The headset is to be equipped with up to 15 cameras and is expected to hit the market from 2022 for around $1,000.
Later, AR glasses and even AR contact lenses from Apple will follow in ten years, Kuo speculates.

Resident Evil 4 for VR

We all remember: In 2017, Resident Evil 7 was released for PlayStation VR and was a huge success. Four years later, the survival horror classic Resident Evil 4 is also released exclusively for Oculus Quest 2 in virtual reality. The game, which is developed by the studio Armature, is not compatible with the standard Quest. This could be a hint for better graphics. The VR version of the classic is not a one-to-one conversion: In Resident Evil 4 VR you play Kennedy from the first-person perspective for the first time – that has never been done before. Resident Evil 4 VR is scheduled for release later this year.

AR art project in Los Angeles

Snap , the company behind Snapchat and the Snap Spectacles sunglasses, is now distributing AR exhibits in Los Angeles and wants to offer very special, monumental perspectives. Snap is teaming up with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for the “Monumental Perspectives” AR art exhibit. Anyone who is in Los Angeles can discover the artworks via the Snapchat app. But those who are not on the American West Coast can still discover monumental art – with a vacation feeling included. The exhibition can also be accessed online via a website and smartphone. You can also discover AR art in Ückendorf – the urbanana-Areal.
