Slip into the skin of a miner 100 years ago and pick up the coal from the lode with a pickaxe yourself. The trick: wind, vibration and warmth strengthen the illusion of working underground. You can also explore Prosper Haniel mining site in “real” life or experience a live pit cage ride down to a depth of 1200 metres.

Experience what it’s like to be a miner at the “Bergwerk 360° VR” truck of the WDR (West German Broadcasting Corporation), visit an almost real replica of a mine or watch a VR report about the miners’ everyday life.
