Europa-Park launches VR experience<\/h1>\n

Europa-Park Rust has expanded its VR offering. Visitors can now also explore the ocean floor and swim through the ocean like a fish. This is possible in Europe’s only underwater VR experience. “Snorri Snorkling VR ” combines a real dive with imaginative virtual underwater worlds.
\nThe “Rulantica” theme world can be discovered together with the mascot Snorri, including mythical creatures and an abandoned shipwreck on the seabed. The virtual dive was developed by MackNeXT and VR Coaster.

AR update for Google Maps<\/h1>\n

Google is giving its Maps program a comprehensive update, as the company announced at this year’s Google IO. An expanded AR concept is now used in Maps. Previously, AR navigation was limited to outdoor spaces. Using Live View, however, the map service can now determine the user’s line of sight more precisely. This is why restaurants, stores and points of interest can soon be visually marked in the AR view. Anyone who taps the markers on the smartphone display will receive further information, for example, which neighborhoods are particularly busy at any given time.

arpara announces new headsets<\/h1>\n

Chinese VR company arpara has announced the latest generation of the arpara VR headset and the arpara all-in-one VR headset.
\nBoth headsets feature two 1.03-inch micro OLED displays with a resolution of 2560 x 2560 pixels, so the VR glasses offer a total resolution of 5K x 2.5K. The competing Oculus Quest 2, on the other hand, only has a 2K resolution with 1,832 by 1,920 pixels per eye.
\nThe company’s headsets are the first devices ever to combine super-high PPI and low latency into a compact package. With the VR headset, users can play games from Steam VR.
\nThe arpara VR headset costs $599 and is available for pre-order now.
