On behalf of the City of Gelsenkirchen, the Bochumer Stra\u00dfe district office is managed by an interdisciplinary team from S.T.E.R.N. GmbH NRW in cooperation with the sub-district organisation of the AWO Gelsenkirchen\/Bottrop and an external district architect.. As an interface between administration, neighbourhood residents and active district actors, the district office is a central hub of district development in the Bochumer Strasse revitalisation area. In addition to modernization consulting for owners, its tasks include the coordination of planning and construction projects, the implementation of the redevelopment process within the framework of the Special Urban Development Law, and socially integrative neighbourhood management. The tasks also include the promotion of civil society participation, e.g. by setting up the neighbourhood fund, as well as the implementation of innovative participation formats and accompanying public relations work.<\/p>\n

Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche in 360 degrees<\/strong>
\nThe iconic Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche can currently only be viewed from the outside due to renovation work, but the city’s Department of Surveying and Cadastre and the digital model builders* at pointreef GmbH will ensure that the impressive building can be experienced virtually and in the immediate vicinity during the Places weekend.
