VR for Kids & Parents
VR for Kids & Parents
At this year’s Places _ VR Festival, the Sportbude on Munscheidstraße will once again offer a special programme for children and parents. While children can discover different VR games according to their age, parents can learn more about what VR actually is and how their children experience virtual worlds.

Children can discover the virtual world at three different play stations at the Sportbude. The stations are each optimised for different age groups and thus offer every child optimal fun.
Children should be at least 8 years old and accompanied by an adult to participate in the programme.

Understanding technology - the VR experience for parents
While the children are discovering the virtual world through play, the parents can also gain their first VR experiences in a virtual children’s room. The short application by mxr storytelling introduces parents to virtual reality: How can VR be best used for children? What effect does VR have on children? What kind of situations can I put my child in and how does the environment affect me as an adult? The application tries to get to the bottom of these and other questions and thus give parents better orientation in this still new field of technology.
VR für Kinder und Erwachsene findet ihr in der Sportbude, Bochumer Str. 94.
