About the place
Completed in 2016, the Justice Center is the central court building of the city of Gelsenkirchen. It houses the Gelsenkirchen Local Court, the Gelsenkirchen Labor Court and the Gelsenkirchen Social Court. But the justice system is not the only thing that has a home here. Regular temporary exhibitions of local artists now find their place in the building that marks the northern entrance to the festival site. For two years now, it has also been the venue for the Üvertüre, a musical New Year’s reception for the district of Ückendorf, which attracts up to 350 visitors.
